We will never stay at Ibis hotels again!

We stayed at the Ibis Styles Hotel at the beginning of December 2024. Our room was so cold, 15.7 degrees! We contacted the hotel reception who said that they would turn up the heating - it got to 16 degrees. A second visit to reception to the rude man there and we were informed that there was nothing else to be done. We requested a portable heater but this was denied and so we had to resort to trying to heat the room with the hairdryer! I contacted Hotels.com who I had booked the room with and they directly spoke to the hotel who again declined to turn up the heating. We were very cold if had not been possible to use the shower as it is just so uncomfortable. We contacted Accor Hotels who apologised for our uncomfortable stay and promised that Ibis Styles Poiters Nord would contact us directly. We have heard nothing!

I stayed at the ibis Style Poitiers Nord from 6/07/22 to 7/07/22. I found the hotel average for an ibis but the service was left wanting and staff seemed in short supply. My room was not ready when I arrived in mid afternoon and I waited for service at the bar as no staff were present. There were staff huddled in a small group, smoking and drinking in a corner of the terrace but it needed the reception personnel to summon one. WARNING - My visit was blighted by the fact that the hotel chose to make an unauthorised charge on my debit card, for the room rate, on the day of my arrival as a guarantee. The following day when I checked out I paid my invoice in full which included the room rate. I queried this by email and was assured that the charge had been refunded. This was not the case and as of now, 21/07/22 this has not been the case. It has resulted in countless hours of work with my bank who cannot credit may account. I will never stay in an ibis again.

Good stopover for us. Spacious room with walk-in shower and comfortable bed.. Excellent breakfast choice plus we could have had an evening meal if required. Car parking spaces were also plentiful. If in the area again would definitely use this hotel.

The welcome was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and spacious. The restaurant was good and the service very professional. It was easy to find, not far from the motorway and Futuroscope and it has good parking. The town of Poitiers has a good pedestrianised area with nice shops and good underground parkings.

Excellent service - kind personnel- good location - quiet and clean- parking space can be improved- the restaurant was closed but there are restaurants nearby-breakfast to the standard of IBIS- always pleasant to come back-
