Screaming children ruined it

Massage was great, facilities were great… 2 massive stars removed for the several screaming children. A SPA is meant to be relaxing; if bratty children need to use the facilities then there should be a specified hour for that that the adults can choose to avoid. The pool and change rooms were absolute chaos! I ended up leaving more stressed and annoyed than when I came in… which made the over-priced bill even harder to swallow..

We sincerely apologize for the disturbance caused by the noisy children during your visit to our spa. At Fairmont St Andrews, we aim to provide a serene and relaxing environment for all our guests. First of all I want to thoroughly thank Mark from the Transport Department for making our trip very memorable. Mark sorted out our transfers very professionally and made sure the start of our stay was truly luxurious. After communicating for a few weeks we were delighted it was Mark that greeted us from Edinburgh Airport, such a warm welcoming and then we were taken in a very pristine BMW to the Hotel. We had a lovely journey to the hotel with Mark pointing out various places of interests and made us both feel very special. Mark had already arranged all our eating requirements for our stay so we knew we could arrive and not worry about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. When we arrived at the Hotel all the staff were very welcoming, especially Kayleigh at the reception and by then we knew we had made a correct decision by booking the Fairmont Hotel. The Hotel itself was in need of a little upgrading but the experience we received more than made up for that. The Spa was wonderful with very helpful staff and my wife enjoyed her afternoon of pampering. Overall we will definitely be back next year and cant wait to make some more fabulous memories and will book one of the Luxury tours the Fairmont have to offer, it was just unfortunate we didn't have enough time to do it on this trip. Good work Fairmont, we will certainly recommend you to our friends.

We had a very nice stay in this spacious coastal hotel. Very convenient parking. The staff were very attentive throughout. Excellent breakfast. Only let down by a relatively expensive drinks tariff and food menus. Pool, sauna, steam facilities a little dated. All-in-all, a very nice hotel, just not quite on par with The Old Course Hotel.

I'd be happy to help you with that. Here's the revised text: The check-in experience was excellent. We were able to check in earlier than expected, and Alex did a great job making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My wife had a spa appointment on the first day, but she felt that it was a bit rushed and not particularly special for a 50-minute session. We had a good meal at La Cucina, and the staff were attentive. However, some of the restaurant staff seemed like they were still in training. On the whole, the weekend was great for families and kids, with lots of events to keep everyone entertained. Unfortunately, when I tried to take the kids to see Finding Dory at the auditorium on Sunday, the projector remote was missing, and the staff couldn't find the batteries to get it working. After waiting for about 40 minutes, I returned to the room with some unhappy kids. Breakfast was ok, it was a standard hotel breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. However, we might explore other dining options in the town centre rather than eating at the hotel restaurants again.

I couldn't recommend the afternoon tea here more. The staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. They were friendly and went above and beyond. The food was absolutely immaculate and we left very full! Even then they gave us a box to take away what we couldn't manage. My partner and I were both delighted with our visit and it was a lovely setting. Definitely loved the bird china tea set. The scones were pillowy and tasty, the desserts were delicious and I liked the varied tasty sandwiches. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.
