Our trip to the hotel was for an afternoon tea to celebrate for my mum’s 70th Birthday. The hotel atmosphere was calming and friendly, beautiful decor. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the waitress made everyone in my family party feel comfortable and well attended to. I was using the groupon voucher for the afternoon tea and the receptionist was very patient and helpful while we tried to sort the voucher I was having a problem with it on my phone etc. Overall a wonderful experience!

A weekend being a tourist in our own city started when we checkin to the Caledonian Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room on the third floor was spotless, large and very comfortable. We had drinks in the bar and were served by Hugh, friendly, chatty and welcoming. We opted for an offer when we booked which included dinner, although nothing fancy it was tasty and good value. We had breakfast included and again was very good value, regularly topped up and plenty of choice. With additional items able to be ordered from the menu. A special thank you to Ryan who was covering breakfast on the Saturday. He was fantastic at his job. A real credit to the hotel. Yes the hotel is a little tired in some areas but it’s a beautiful period hotel. The staff are all fab and I would definitely book to stay again. Great value and location.

Stayed on Friday 26th April on a B n B offer! Will definitely be back…….staff friendly and efficient on arrival, room although a little dated was spotless! Breakfast buffet style was very good and regularly replenished! Location perfect for our theatre trip!
