As a seasoned traveller wth business and family I cannot express my utter disappointment with this hotel.We have travelled extensively across New Zealand with our 11 year old with no issues until this stay. We were staying before a flight home to the UK and planned to meet friends in the roof top bar at about 6pm for champagne before dinner at the restaurant below. We were greeted with children are not allowed in the bar due to the General managers policy. And no other bar was open so why does this hotel take bookings with children if they are not welcome ! We would of spent a lot of money so not economic for the hotel. We are also always looking for hotels for an International sports teams which occupy 40 rooms at a time so this one will definately be off the list. Even the staff I spoke to didnt agree with the policy of the General Manager , so obviously they do not like children. Thankfully I was not on my own or I would had to sit in my room all night after supper.

A perfect experience, twice!

didn’t stay this time, only went to the restaurant. Went back again the first experience was so awesome! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful even thought I wasn’t staying there and directed me easily to the restaurant. Service was impeccable without being pretentious, you were looked after so well without any fawning or hovering, prices were fair for the quality of food and creativity. So enjoyed the food! View was amazing. Cannot praise this restaurant enough!

A great up-market hotel in the central business district and very close to the harbour. Our room was large and very nicely designed. Lots of extras included such as a Nespresso coffee machine. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and for New Year’s Eve. We were upgraded to a suite room which was really nice. The room was beautiful and we had a nice welcome gift. The views and ambience in the restaurant are very nice and the dinners we had were good. The breakfast offering is good but nowhere near as good as Sofitel where you have a combination of buffet and ability to order something to your taste. The lounge was unavailable for 1 of the 2 nights and another small room was used for this 1 night. The lounge when available was really nice and the wine choices were the best we’d tried including at 2 other Sofitels in NZ on the same holiday. Overall a really nice hotel with great views and friendly reception staff. We were also given a late checkout which was much appreciated. We would stay here again.

Worst Hotel in Auckland! Will never stay again. Avoid! Even if it’s the last hotel available in the city! You will be so disappointed ☹️ nithing at all positive yi report unfortunately. Awful experience from the start and completely overpriced for what it is.
