Good bright clean and well maintained chain hotel. Rooms are fine and have all you need for a night or two. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok. The only downside is there’s no step free/flat level access into the hotel itself so avoid if mobility is limited.

My husband I had dinner at the attached Marco Pierre White restaurant then went into the hotel bar area - it's very tastefully decorated, reasonably priced and very relaxed. We are often in the area but had never visited before - if in the area we will definitely pop in and highly recommend visiting to others.

We stayed here before and it was fine. This time it was awful: for two nights in a row, the room was not made. I complained and the second night, when we returned, the bed was made (not on the first night, though). When I opened the bed, I saw a stain, which was on the internal part of the duvet: it looked like a blood stain. The next morning I complained to reception and showed them the pictures, asking them to change it and put a clean one in. It wasn't done, so my last night there I still had the same duvet with the blood stain.

Stayed for one night. Room was decent, which felt fairly premium although an odd choice of cheap brown paper cups vs the rest of the room decor etc. Main issue, too hot! No air conditioning as in winter it’s only for heating, but even with that turned off and the window open all night, it remained at 23 degrees which is just uncomfortable for me. And the window open meant it was sometimes noisy. I won’t be staying here again purely because of that which resulted in a poor nights sleep.
