Location, breakfast very good, staff welcoming and helpful. Airport shuttle bus drops off and picks up from Le Dome about 5 minutes walk. Room size is compact and not much storage space other than the wardrobe. Bars and restaurants within 15 minute walk toards the train station and canal du midi in one direction and walled city over the footbridge in the other direction.

The hotel is in a very good location right next to the old bridge to the castle. You could even see part of Carcassonne Castle from one small corner of the hotel window. The hotel room was very small. Bathroom small but comfortable shower. Unfortunately, the price is way too high. When I stayed at the hotel, I expected that large hotel chains would offer a wide range of services, but they even offered to wash my laundry myself. What's this? I'm on vacation to relax, not work in a laundry... Although I'm glad to be out of this place, the problems are not over yet, as the emails from the hotel about inquiries continue to arrive. I hope that blocking the sender will stop these emails. I am very disappointed with this hotel chain.

I booked this hotel for two nights. The hotel is rundown and in need of a refurb. The draught excluder on the door was loose and I had to pull on the door to close it but the worst thing was the single beds. It was a base with a flimsy two inch thick mattress topper (I've attached photos) which were very uncomfortable and moved around the bed during the night causing a fall out of the bed. I reported this to the manager who told me that a member of staff must have put the mattress toppers on upside down and told me that should I return she would look after me. Needless to say I have no intention of returning and asked for a refund. She then changed her tone and made a veiled threat about defamation of her beds and that she is too busy to answer my emails. I have stayed in over thirty Ibis hotels all over the world and can assure her that I have never seen a bed like this before. I have also contacted Ibis head office who have not seen fit to respond. I am now going to post this review on every social media platform that I can find

The hotel is shabby not cleaned and our room was not habitable The bed frame was of a queen size with two double materasses The tiny bathroom had a lot of water on the floor apparently caused by the air conditioning The room radiator was hanging off the wall The floor uncleaned The breakfast was plentiful but after a bed night could not really enjoy it

The hotel is close to old and new towns & to the lovely river walk. Also within 5 minutes walk to stop for airport shuttle service. Nice view over Gambetta Square/Park. Adequate breakfast and well-serviced compact room.
