Old fashioned hotel which does the job

The hotel delivers what you would expect. Room looked clean and tidy. The room style is a bit outdated to my taste (my taste is more modern) but it is definitely ok. Breakfast is served at 7.00am during the week which can be a bit late but the offering is good with local specialties. There is a small gym with 1 running machine, 1 elliptical, 1 bike and 1 upper body machine. There is a sauna which was closed during my stay in October 2023. Accessibility from the airport is good, around 5 minutes with a taxi.

Very weird experience. On one hand, the place looked new and modern. On the other hand, we had issues at check in so we got another set of rooms with same rate and somehow didn’t annulate the one over booking. But let’s say it was fixed. Bathroom was smelling bad and shower had issues. Bathroom needs clear renovation! Even worst, the lady at the reception came over me in the room and ran. I screamed because I was like wtf and went on the hall because I assumed my door didn’t close if someone came in. And it was no room service. Someone yelled sorry from the hall and did not turn around. Even weirder, every day leaving with the car the receptionist was running after us to check out??? I mean, they have the visa if we were to leave. Just really off experience.

Falta absoluta de amabilidad en el personal de recepción. Estuvimos 3 noches y no limpiaron la habitación en ningún momento. Cada vez que volvíamos por la tarde, nos habían bloqueado las tarjetas de entrada a la habitación; ni una explicación y ni una disculpa, solo caras desagradables. A una de nuestras amigas le dieron un cuchitril de habitación, sin nevera, sin barras para colgar toallas , además de diminuta. Al pedir hoja de reclamación nos dieron un folio en blanco. Por fin, al insistir, parece que el hotel no estaba tan completo como decían y le dieron una habitación razonable. Una experiencia para no repetir jamás.

Lamentamos que no esté satisfecho, trabajaremos duro para solucionar el problema que experimentó, como lo hicimos durante su estadía. Las toallas se cambian a diario y la limpieza se realiza a pedido o en 2 días. Todos los problemas con el Las habitaciones que ha mencionado se han solucionado o cambiado en el primer o segundo día. Tuvo la oportunidad de elegir cambiar la habitación. Algunos de los huéspedes han pasado de habitaciones estándar individuales a otras más grandes y probablemente esa sea la razón de esta revisión que no no coincidir con la realidad. Espero que tengamos la oportunidad de darle la bienvenida nuevamente al Mercure Sibiu Airport Hotel en el futuro. Atentamente,

Good location. Fast check in. Clean. 24/7 check in. Easy to get to from the motorway. Good experience. We will visit it again. Nice personal. Comfortable beds. A lot of free parking. Happy to visit another time.

I'd give 5 stars, the only downside is the aesthetics of the hotel and the rooms which are a bit outdated, but other than that, excellent comfort and the BREAKFAST was phenomenal! It was plentiful and of quality. Some staff members nice, others neutral. Overall very good experience
