Wir übernachteten hier als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg zur Küste und waren wirklich sehr positiv überrascht. Sehr gute Lage, Parkplätze genügend vorhanden (es gibt auch einen hoteleigenen für kl. Gebühr). Sehr nettes junges Team. Obwohl direkt an der Bahnstrecke gelegen sehr ruhig. Schöne Zimmer, super große Dusche und ein richtiger Föhn (nicht solche Heißluftgebläse wie in Turnhalle) für alle Damen mit längerem Haar! Heißwasserbereiter und Kaffeemaschine vorhanden (sehr gut, im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Ibis: es gibt Keramik statt Pappbecher). Kostenloses Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage fing nachts leider an, lauter zu werden und der Nachtmanager war beim auschecken wohl mit dem falschen Fuß aufgestanden…. Etwas grummelig zu Kundschaft…. Sonst alles prima. Als Statuskunde freuten wir uns über den Getränkegutschein (und zwar für 3, nicht wie in vielen Hotels der Gruppe nur für 2 Erwachsene) und lösten ihn auch gleich an der netten Bar am Abend ein. Restaurants gibt’s ausser dem im Hotel genügend in 5 min Fußweg. Für das Frühstück blieb uns leider keine Zeit; praktisch dafür: der Bäcker im gleichen Gebäude, der ab 6.00h geöffnet hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

A great little surprise, very modern hotel, ideally situated within walking distance to the local shops and bars, rooms nice, restaurant next door and own parking and much cheaper than other hotels. The hotel has a very horsey theme going on with a statue in the lobby and riding gear adorning all rooms

This was a real find after a long drive. It is a modern, well designed hotel in easy walking distance to the centre of Vechta. Our room was very well appointed with a comfortable bed. Though facing the street it was very quiet. There was a choice of a full breakfast in the hotel or a coffee and croissant at the adjoining bakery. There was parking for hotel guests on the street but immediately in front of the hotel. The staff were efficient and helpful and the desk is manned 24 hours. It was excellent value for money.

It is a very good hotel with excellent restaurant in a clean and quiet city. service is also good! parking is easy, it is easy to connect the public transport, just 1 minute walking to train station. I like this hotel.

We (all business travellers) booked the hotel because of its location; centrally located and still reachable by car. However, this was definitively my last stay at Ibis Styles Vechta! When we arrived in the afternoon, we were told that any meeting in the lobby - even for business purpposes, without any food and beverages on a huge table, where distance keeping according to COVID regulations would be easy because of its size/space - is not possible. The staff neither referenced a regulation that justifies their decision nor did they offer any alternative, although we explained our needs as business travellers. They said it's due to COVID, but to my understanding it's implemented in order to save money (e.g. for housekeeping). The strict 'hygine policy' they claimed was very much jeopardized by the situation in my room: I found long hair in my shower and peanuts on the floor; both from previous guests in that room. You are invited to make your own conclusion about this inconsistency! Next morning, I was astonished to see three (3) members of staff all together in the small office behind the reception desk: all not wearing a face mask ... My summary: reduced service, non-supportive, money saving, while charging the same room price as always ... I will not come back, even not after the pandemic! BTW: if you pay approx. 10 EUR extra for a superior room, then you enjoy a free bottle of mineral water and the sound of approaching and leaving trains below your window instead of noise from the road in front of the hotel ;)
