Flying back to the UK from Australia, we were so looking forward to our 2 night stay at Raffles.. we have visited several times before for drinks, but have never stayed & excited to see The Grand Old Dame after the refit.. initial meet & greet is what you expect & then it just went downhill.. rushed checked in to take our credit card, no welcome drink.. taken to our room & informed a butler would show us ‘how the room worked’ & the butler never arrived.. the sun loungers are dirty and tired with zero poolside service / one person up at the bar. Breakfast is fabulous & tasty, however we were driven out by the sub zero AC. The so called famous Chinese restaurant! If you can handle the crashing and banging of the staff washing every tiny piece of china next to you! Enjoy! We had an early flight out & pre ordered take away breakfast, someone decided to turn that order into cold toast! To be told what we ordered was not available.. The service/restaurant staff go over the top & are very polite - the guest relations/check in - seem to brush off with a smile any feedback you give them.. in short a very expensive soulless experience & I could not wait to leave.

Excellent breakfast and spacious suite. Would suggest asking for 2nd floor (1st floor is ground level) room to enjoy best location. Food of good quality and staff ver attentive. Long bar over-rated but ask concierge to book rather than queue.

As part of our stay booked the history tour and really recommend it. Nazir (historian) was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining - we learnt lots about the hotel and even got to see (and have our photos taken) in the hotel’s best suite! Amazing to see the photos of all the famous guests the hotel has hosted over the years from Royalty to film stars gives a real sense of the iconic status of the hotel.

Exquisite experience- both the hotel itself and the service were impeccable

Raffles is an amazing experience. A destination in itself. From the gorgeous lobby to beautiful balconies, there are so many places to sit and enjoy. The gym and rooftop pool were exquisite. The service was impeccable. We loved getting to speak to the Historian, who was a pleasure to spend time with. The Afternoon Tea was exceptional. And dinner at Butcher’s Block was a once in a lifetime experience.

We absolutely loved it. We visited the Long Bar. The atmosphere was fabulous. We did, of course, have a Singapore Sling. It would appear that the dress code is anything goes. We saw jeans, flip flops, and really casual wear. Having said that, we did stick to the dress code we saw online. I really wish others had made the effort. Great experience, and I would recommend
