I spent the day at the Spa. The facilities were lovely. I got the stress recovery massage which was a great way to begin my relaxing day. The bath house ritual was a great place to hang out, and the weather was great for relaxing by the pools. All the attendants were super nice and polite. I really enjoyed the experience.

The spa area is so relaxing and the mineral pools are wonderful. Arthur gave an incredible stress reducing massage. The indoor area tucked below the entrance is so inviting.don’t miss the cold dump bucket after your jacuzzi. The staff is very friendly.

In my preferences survery that was emailed, I requested to have my feet massaged. That did not happen. Other than that, the massage was great. The bathrooms for the spa are old, especially the toilet area. Not roomy, toilets don't work well, it seemed like it could be the bathroom at a Ross store not at the Fairmont. The drinks/meal service and menu at the spa and the main pool was also mediocre. Nearly all the pool chairs were reserved when we got there which as at 11:15am, 30 minutes prior to our appointment. Yet we never saw people use most of them. The location is beautiful and it has a great spa, and pools.

Oh my word. I am blown away by our recent stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. Let me begin by stating that we booked our trip through Costco which I don't normally do but the offer included our car and it waived the daily resort fee. I couldn't pass it up. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed we had the most incredible stay. Let me begin with saying that the grounds are gorgeous and so carefully maintained, there are also many areas with fire pits and couches scattered around the property which are a wonderful place to relax. Every person who worked at the hotel that we encountered was exceptional. The front desk check in was quick and we were offered an upgrade to a mission suite at a discounted rate which we decided to accept. If offered, I'd highly recommend. The suite had a gorgeous fireplace with one fire starter included each day of your stay (it burned a couple hours or so, perfect at the end of the evening), beautiful spa soaps and candles for the large jetted tub that is in the room (we didn't actually use the tub but there are instructions to take the soaps etc home with you as they are part of the suite offerings), the balcony was huge and overlooked a fountain and the gorgeous grounds of the property, lastly the four poster bed was luxuriously comfortable and may have caused a few delays in the morning because we slept so well! I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the pool. I had read different reviews about the pool and I was a bit worried by some of those reviews stating there was not a hot tub. We swam each day of our stay and I have NEVER swam in a pool that is so warm! It was like walking into a bathtub, no need for a hot tub because it was so relaxing and warm! One of the other perks to the Fairmont and one we truly appreciated was that each day from 2pm-10pm they have a driver who will take you to and from Sonoma Square. What a treat to be able to eat out each night and not worry about driving home. The entire experience was just so lovely that I can't wait to go back! There are so many other things to mention but I'm afraid I've gone on too long as it is. Suffice it to say, I will recommend this hotel to everyone and am dreaming about when I can return!

Disappointed! Bring back the gracious service from an earlier era please?

Sonoma Mission Inn used to be our absolute favorite getaway — but no longer under Accor. We’ve stayed here several times a year for the last twenty years — and have never seen it like this. We were treated like first time guests and our profile and preferences were ignored. Correcting our reservation took three phone calls, long holds, and uninformed agents. Bring back the gracious service from an earlier era please?
