Wonderful and serene Hotel with daily activities. Great location, 5mins drive to Pating beach and short hike to the popular Freedom beach. Warm and helpful front office Staffs, Nisha, Eve, Matt and the Hillpool staff - Sprite, ensuring we are well taken care of. Overall, wonderful and memorable stay!

Everything was super. Right from the hospitality to the food choices, the cleanliness and service . Special mention to Risma, Goldy and Vishal at the breakfast who were ever smiling and cheeeful. Also my little ones loved the kids club activities . Special thank you to Nu, Jee , Siri, Up and Hong for entertaining our little ones and creating a magic during the Songkran festival.

Nice family getaway for vacation

Resort was perfect to be away from the crowd and craziness of Patong. But that also comes with a price, there is not much up here. With that said, we are at the restaurant onsite (Tambu) which was a bit overpriced for what you get, the restaurant across the hotel, which was subpar and the Grab the rest of our meals Breakfast was great. Rotating with a different menu everyday (although there were a lot of the same things as well). It was nice especially with a 3 year old and 1 year old. Not having to worry about food and having it ready. Risma was great and very welcoming. She remembered my drink and our preference of where to sit and always had a great big smile. Everyone was especially nice and playful with our kids. Jee, Hong and I forgot the other lady’s name was also a joy to have at the kids club. They were nice and played with our kids while being able to maintain a neat area. They were very engaging and always supportive of random questions we had about the resort of the island. The staff was fantastic. They made the hotel worth staying. If I had to pick a downside about this hotel, it would have to be the locks on the doors/gate. The doors are closed with a latch which doesn’t “fully close the door.” It closes it but there is a slit that always remains open. Dunno if that’s how mosquitos comes in or allows air to leak through. But also, to leave our hotel room (we had a pool suite), we had to use a lock and key where we would have to lock our room with a pad lock and carry our key with us. It wasn’t too big of a deal but I jammed my finger while locking the gate today.

A little piece of paradise

We have just come back after a 10 day stay here. Where to start? As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel special and looked after. After a tough year and long flight, aging greeted us and we felt completely relaxed. We were early but they all seemed to move heaven and earth to have our room ready in 10 minutes! It was our 17th wedding anniversary and arrived to an amazing surprise. There were flowers, rose petals and towel swans on the bed and an anniversary cake on the table. This sums up our stay and how we are treated perfectly. The grounds, pools and restaurants are all top class and idyllic but the staff are their greatest strength. Nothing is too much trouble and each seem to know exactly how to make us feel special. We were so looked after and felt completely relaxed and safe. The bar tender at the pool laid out freshly picked flowers on our pool table and greeted us with big smiles. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough- we are already booking for next year!

We wish we stayed longer!!

We spend 3 amazing days at Avista. The hotel is located on a hill less than 10min away from the chaotic centre of Patong. The hotel is surrounded by palm trees and vegetation. From there you can also reach one of the best hidden beaches in Phuket (freedom beach). At arrival we received a warm welcome from Matt and Ging, who were amazing and most helpful for anything we needed during our stay. The hotel wasn't fully booked and we were also offered an upgrade to a superior room for free. The architecture and design melts perfect with the natural environment around. Plenty of amenities available too. We tried their spa massage and felt like a huge bargain for the service receive. Did enjoy a lot. Foods and drinks are also fairly cheap and well executed. Only one of the three restaurants located at their rooftop was a bit pricy. Breakfast offered plenty of options, including intercontinental and traditional local food. An amazing stay overall. We would definitely come back!
