Emotionless hospitality.

We booked through Luxury Escapes for 5 nights from the 22nd to the 27th April and left after three days. Unfortunately, on the second day we heard the dreaded news of the passing of my father in law. Here i was managing my inconsolable wife in the middle of the water park and trying to book our tickets back to Adelaide and onwards to overseas. Upon our return to the hotel i explained our situation to the Front desk and the lady asked us to contact LE and assured that she was updating notes in my reservation and that they should be able to consider our routed request through LE on compassionate grounds. We heard nothing from either LE or the hotel and my wife managed to get in touch with the Reservations Manager over the phone, who by far is not fit to be in hospitality. Not only did she respond coldly to our situation but showed zero empathy and emotion and plainly said she will make her decision after she hears from LE. I have been in hospitality for a while and have been managing the Front Office operations of 3 city hotels in Adelaide, and ensure all similar situations of bereavement are met with compassion and with the maximum caution. This is what separates a robotic hospitality from a human touch. I understand the hotel has the right to throw the rule book at our face, which they did by declining a credit/ refund for the two nights we did not stay, but i am sure they could have dealt with this differently by both managing the business and taking care of a guest who was grieving due to the loss of a family member, after all this is what my experience in hospitality has taught me. A stony, bland response approach by the Reservations Manager is the reason of my negative review of the hotel and our experience. Needless to say, i will not be an advocate of the property. PS: Camilla at the Front desk who checked us in and the entire Bell Desk team were very helpful.

I will not suggest anyone with a veggie family & healthy choice of brekfast persons to stay here. The staff especially the receptionists are already not as per requirement also they do not have a smiling attitude. Talking to them looks as if u had done a crime & asking for a sorry. Breakfast is a good English one but if u r health conscious then u will be disappointed Then again if u r veggie then bread & butter is the only good option. Hospitality is worse. The only good thing is the location. U can find everything nearby

To that end there are a number of Vegetarian options including freshly made omelets from the omelet chef and we also offer gluten free items accompanied by a range of milks for those guests who do not consume regular cows milk. For any further requirements or food intolerances the Breakfast Team are always happy to help ensure that our guests have the best start to their day. In addition the Hotel offers a number of A La Carter vegetarian breakfast options in BLVD Cafe & Bar on the ground floor. On a positive note i was pleased to read that you enjoyed the central location of the Hotel in the heart of Surfers Paradise with all of the attractions and services at your finger tips. We had a one night pop in to end our hectic week of travels. Check in was fine (even got in early). Family room 3511 was fantastic with great views and super comfortable beds!!!!! I would be more than happy for you guys to ship the king bed to me…..address is on file 😂 Breakfast had a great range and was super fresh! Love the bathroom shampoos etc…..even the kids loved it. Looking forward to a slightly longer stay later in the year! Well done Novotel.

Perfekte Lage, aber refurbishment nötig

Waren für 1 Nacht im Novotel. Lage: absolut Top, 1-2 minuten zu Fuss an den Strand, Parkhaus im Einkaufscenter (gleiches Gebäude 18 AUD 24h). Zahllose Restos in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zimmer: waren in 3511, 35.Stock. Balkon, atemberaubender Ausblick auf den Strand, das Peppers Soul Hotel und Q1 Tower. Room: Balkon, Safe, fridge, alles da. Sehr zweckmässig, wenig Wohlfühlfaktor, das kennt man von Novotels. Zimmer insgesamt recht abgewohnt, refurbishment nötig, Bad war allerdings neu. Sauberkeit etwas vernachlässigt, ein getrocknetes Softeis lag in der Ecke des Balkons. Service/Personal: top !!! Fazit: für 1 Nacht aufgrund der Lage perfekt, aber eben nur 3 Punkte.

O hotel tem uma ótica localização, perto da estação do Tram - Estação Cavil. Na parte de baixo do hotel há uma galeria comercial, que tem até um supermercado. O elevador é super rápido, o que ajuda se estiver atrasado. As camas são adequadas e o apartamento dos fundos, com vista para Hinterland, como ficamos no 26º andar, tinha uma vista linda. O único ponto negativo foi o chuveiro, instalado um pouco baixo e com pouca pressão de água. O café da manhã (estilo inglês) atende bem aos padrões do hotel.
