The location is great. The staff are helpful and friendly. Room was clean. The major issue were the curtains - being on Queen St it's light all night. And the curtains aren't blackout. So the room was like day light. All night long. I stayed for 4 nights and didn't really sleep.

5 stars to the head chef, his team and the hotel, highly recommend ♥️

Absolutely beautiful hotel, from food and fittings to decor.. but the person I really want to give all the stars to on this occasion is the Head Chef (Jay) who has single handedly made the most delicious buttermilk fried chicken recipe I have ever tasted. It’s worth a visit just for this… you will not be disappointed I promise! Thanks team, especially Jay, Fable is so lucky to have you!

Great location near the harbor. Good eats in the area. Special thanks to concierge LEO for his patience and knowledge in helping me plan my train trip around South Island, NZ. Also he suggested day trips, ferry to Waiheke Island, local museums (the Māori exhibit and presentation at the Auckland Museum is very moving. ) Thanks again LEO!

I really enjoyed my stay as the room was beautiful; the toilet was modern; and the staff was super hospitable however the walls were thin and i could hear people walking outside and I had noticed in my dinner, which was expensive, a small live fly in it. I did not confront the staff because they were super nice and served us with a big smile. Otherwise the my experience in the hotel was good!

We loved our stay, everything was fabulous. Check in process was very welcoming and helpful staff. We’re Auckland locals and have had lovely ‘staycation’ with this hotel. Room was tidy and clean. We would recommend to trying out food at their restaurant, really nice food and impeccable service, thanks to our wait person Sam, he really looked after us well. Thank you Fable for making our staycation memorable.
