One of our best hotel experiences

We have just stayed at the Park Lane and it was probably our best hotel experience. From Kitty who checked us to the wonderful staff at the executive lounge we could not have been looked after better. Our room was excellent with views out over the harbour and our executive lounge experience was amazing. From the freshly cooked eggs Benedict or omelettes in the morning to drinks and canapés in the evening served by the wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

A very disappointing check in process later redeemed by a visit to Skye. Prior to arrival, I was asked to pre-register and try the robot. The robot refused to accept my name as valid for the booking. The check-in queue had about 10-15 people so I tried to use the ALL priority desk because I’m Platinum. The priority desk was unattended. So I deposited my bag at the bell desk and went to get some lunch. On my return they were unable to locate my bag. Luckily the person that first took my bag happened to walk past and was able to point out my bag…it was still behind the counter. After that debacle of a check-in I later headed up to Skye in the early evening. A great selection of drinks and food on offer. Service was generally quite good with attentive staff and quick acting when it started to drizzle. Fortunately the check out process was much faster.
