Very central and trams are easy accessible, I can't walk very far so this was handy..it saved on taxi fares. Breakfast was amazing, room was very tiny, bathroom was unbelievably tiny, it was difficult to get dried off after a shower. The room was too hot and you can't control the thermostat, we had to have the window open at night but because the trains run under the hotel all night its difficult to get decent sleep. We had a twin room and the mattress topper on one of the beds had been urinated on, it got changed but the second one had dried blood on, I took it off and slept without it. Amsterdam itself is a great place to visit.

Experience was generally good friendly staff, clean rooms and good amenities. Experience with the electronic shop was bad, was charged for three tooth brushes when I bought one. I asked the staff for help and they told me it was not the Ibis problem. Eventually Christian listened to my complaint and when I demonstrated to him on the till point that you could pick one tooth brush but when you went to checkout it charged for multiple. Christian the supplier and fixed the problem but I am still 7 Euros out of pocket with no help in recourse with the supplier as Ibis do not get involved. In effect I got charged 7 Euros to fix and Ibis suppliers IT problem.

Staying at Centraal station was good. Had access to everything that I needed. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. However, very costly for a small room, especially on the weekend. Had breakfast once. It was ample and there were many choices. Again, terribly overpriced at 18 euro. It was nice that the room was refreshed soon after the housekeeping staff arrived in the morning. Towels were changed each day, but not bed linens (must ask and I was fine for 5 nights) Staff was helpful. Food for sale in the lobby was severely overpriced. Happily there is a grocery store in the train station mall, with better choices and much better priced. I just wen there for drinks and food, especially after 1 of the breakfast for 18 euro. There is no coffee/tea kettle in the room. Machine in the lobby for pay. No free coffee/tea in lobby. Noted that they charge for left luggage, but not a problem since I did not need it.

Staff were excellent. Friendly and very helpful. Located next to Centraal Station - ideal for transport links. Cosy room was basic/no frills but clean and functional. Ideal for short stay.

it was not better assessed due to the noise caused by neighbor room doors (I do not know if it was the door spring system to automatically close the door that were too tight causing the doors to slam or if it was the guest that did not care about disturbing the others).
