I booked online, and got charged a 60 euro tax. This made the room expensive for what it was. 200 euros! I said this to the lady at the reception desk and she was not really supportive nor interested in knowing which website it was. For me this isn't a normal behaviour.

We just would like to explain you that the 60 euros pre autorisation upon check-in is not a tax but only a deposit for extras. If you don't consume anything this pre autorisation is cancelled upon check-out. Our team is used to explain this procedure upon check-in, sorry if the were not clear enought. This was such a good place to be located during a work trip to Toulouse. The breakfast was really good with nice dairy free options, fresh orange juice every morning and nice pastries.

Upon arrival there was a first for me, after over 30 years of staying in Accor branded hötels this was the fist time there was a need to scan my ID card. Oh well life goes on. First thing upon entering the room, after a near four hour trip, a coffee is needed, the Nespresso machine is non functional. A call to reception and then another after another hour & a half, eventually an engineer arrived but was unable to get satisfaction from the errant machine, so toddles off to another room to retrieve another. At last a coffee. It did occur to us that someone in management might like to have a back-up coffee machine for case like these, not just rob another room. I am not chalking this up as a complaint, just tedious. Other than the above I would have no complaints with the hötel itself, a good size room with a good view over the city. A clean reception and bar area and a good breakfast, if not the best I have experience in other Mercure hötels. All in all I am happy to give a score of 10.

Good breakfast, nice facilities, very loud elevator noise from the room

I find the 30€/night pre-fee a bit exaggerated, since it is money blocked on the card of the hotel guest, and when I was in my room in bed, I could hear very loud the elevator going up and down, and it is the reason why I slept bad, since it was starting at 05h with other guests leaving and continuously until 07h or later
