I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, I am a seasoned traveller and am fortunate to have experiences of staying in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world. The rooms, hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean and tidy, and everything was in working order and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly and definitely provided a good service, doing all they could to make our stay perfect. The pool area was clean and comfortable.The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The location was excellent, just a three minute stroll to the beach where there were approximately 10 beach shacks, and just out the front of the hotel were a number of shops. On the down side I felt the room was small compared to similar hotels, (and we didnt even have a standard room) ,and the entertainment was awful, there were singers who really were not very good and it would have been better without,especially on Sunday when I had to listen to them droning on all day whilst I was at the pool area. If you want to hear some good singing there is a bar just over the road with some fantastic singers and I would encourage the hotel to perhaps poach them as the current singers at the hotel were well below par.

Very relaxing and peaceful resort, staff always there to help, Gita loyalty guest manger made us so Well come . Was only there for two nights ,wish we had been there for a longer period . A 3/5 mins walk from the resort to the long stretch blue water beach .just mind blowing.

5*s! As always, we wish to leave a glowing review for our stay at Novotel Dona Sylvia. We returned here after getting married at this very venue 5 years ago - we wished to come back to reminisce and unwind and it was the most perfect stay of our trip to India. Gita and the rest of the Novotel Staff (Anant, Anjali, Gavin to name just a few) were attentive, super lovely and made us feel as though we had returned home, which was furthered when we also met the General Manager on our last day. The team pulled out every stop and made us feel extremely welcome and at ease, especially when we landed at midnight - they did everything they could to accommodate us with checkin and a snack before sleeping. The pool, breakfast buffet food service and grounds were excellent - we cannot thank the Novotel Team enough for all their thoughtful details to celebrate our anniversary (including a cake and a personalised, heartfelt card). We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the hotel, the serenity pool and the easy access to the beach - for sure we will be back in the coming years. The team pulled out all the stops for the most memorable and unforgettable stay, we cannot thank you enough - the charm of Dona Sylvia has indeed lived on and will be with us for our whole lifetime. Special shoutout to Gita Ben - you are simply wonderful and we cannot wait to plan our return trip. If you are looking for a place to stay in South Goa, then definitely look no further! Best hotel in south goa. A lot of people complain about the weddings but it’s such a lovely experience to see the happy couple and the difference between their weddings and our weddings. Perfect location and fantastic staff at this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. We have visited this hotel many times as well as other hotels but the Dona Sylvia is by far the best. We can’t wait to return next year.
