The absence of staff during our visit was an antiseptic view of a supposedly two star budget hotel a long way from the beaches and any form of nightlife in a run down area. Luckily we had our reservation code and a camera to hand, to capture the access code. Room spacious but dusty, shower head and mop broken. Zero personality. Shame, not what we expected from this group.

without a car this location is not practical. There is a Pizza Johnny's takeout/delivery place across from hotel which doesn't have seating. We brought the pizza back to the hotel. It was good and they had decent bottled wine for cheap. Next to that is a tiny sushi restaurant. Taking a taxi to another neighborhood would cost 10 euros each way. My husband has trouble walking. I am annoyed that the hotel couldn't refund our breakfast payment when we discovered we had to take an early train and miss breakfast. The machine check-in was not well explained. I had to ask a nice woman from the nearby office to show me how to get the door to hotel to open.

I arrived in Frejus from Marseille in the early morning on the train. Unfortunately I had no sleep the night before and I had an appointment at 6.30pm that night. All I wanted was a bed and a shower. I found Ibis and approached them at the reception, without any fuss or bother the lady provided me a room. It was a nice room very very spacious and clean. Would certainly stay again if in the area and would recommend it. I'm giving it a 5!

rooms clean - spacious, spacious parking - bit for breakfast only jam, Nutella and little cjees - for those who don`t like sweat breakfast or having lactose intolerance : nothing ! No salami or ham .... manager must be muslim.. ? ... but most of the clients are not!

Clearly a budget hotel is not expected to provide the level of service of better quality hotels, but this place is truly awful. First of all the reception is only manned for a limited time, so if you arrive in the evening then hard luck. They claim to provide a service in English out of hours, but when I called and spoke English they just hung up. When I called and spoke French and said I had a problem they hung up. They offer free parking but there was no room in the car park, so I had to park on the street 200 metres away. I only managed to get access to my room after another guest arrived and showed me how to check in. When I got to the room it smelled of cigarette smoke and was dirty. The floor was sticky. I wiped the bathroom floor with the towel provided and it was filthy (see photo below). I tried calling the telephone number provided to ask for another room (several times) but no-one answered. The bed was uncomfortable. In the morning I tried to complain to the person at reception but she said there was nothing she could do. I tried to contact the management but they do not answer any messages I have left. I can only conclude that they really do not care what their guests think. Altogether I am very disappointed and will never use Ibis again, and will never recommend anyone else to use them.
