Basic expensive dirty. Stay elsewhere

Having done a bit of a road trip round Germany this was the WORST hotel by far. I can't think of a good point about it. Well the Chinese next door is excellent value and a fun experience on a Sunday evening. That's it. Hotel is a long way from the town, you'll need a bike to get in, otherwise the walk is a long and not very pretty one. Hotel located on industrial estate. Hotel parking expensive, all nearby parking is not for Hotel. The hotel is expensive and very basic *think prison cell basic. Yes it has a bed, tiny pillow (only one per person) small TV, that is filthy behind. Slow WiFi. Bathroom OK, there is a hair dryer and a towel each. Lino on floor (torn and dirty) one plastic garden chair. That's it. No comfort and very expensive. This was the dearest hotel we stayed in by far, and the absolute worst. Definitely would not return to this hotel (or indeed this brand). Makes premier inn seem top drawer. There isn't even a kettle!

Imagine a hotel so budget that they will only clean your room upon request and where parking around the hotel shows big sign forbidding hotel guests to park - otherwise you’ll get towed and fined. Imagine a hotel so budget that your room isn’t clean upon arrival and only one person at the reception (despite a fully booked hotel) in order to save money. Imagine a hotel charging and surcharging you as if you were in the center of town, while in reality you are on an industrial/commercial area far away from city. Can you imagine? Then stay away from this hotel.

My husband and I visited Konstanz together with our two grown children in July. We stayed two nights at this hotel and really appreciated the comfortable beds and pillows after a long day of sightseeing, and the floor to ceiling windows which made the room bright and cheerful in the mornings. I have mobility issues so my husband and I stayed in a very spacious room with an equally spacious bathroom. Our kids stayed in a smaller room down the hall, but it was also nice and clean. The continental breakfast was delicious and abundant and gave us energy to continue our tours in Old Town. The lady in charge of the cafeteria was very sweet and helpful. The young man atthe reception desk did his best to make our stay pleasant, and we appreciated the bus tickets he gave us. The young lady from Spain at the reception was incredible too! We enjoyed chatting in Spanish with her. Overall, this hotel is worth it if you are going to spend a couple of days in Konstanz and want to stick to a budget. We hope to stay there again the next time we visit.

I have to say I'm a Ibis lover and I'm always happy to stay in a hotel of this brand. Ibis Budget Konstanz was just another positive experience for me, I felt so comfortable there! I'm a no frills traveller and I often have a tight budget, I have to say this hotel had one of the best value for money I've seen in years. For a very reasonable price I got a big, bright and clean room, with modern furniture and a very comfortable bed. Just basic service were offered, but I had everything I needed. The bathroom was also good sized and the shower had an amazing water pressure. I'd love to get a room like that anytime, whereas cheap places are too offer run down. Instead of that, everything was up to date and working perfectly at Ibis. The staff at the reception was fantastic, I got a lot of useful infos from them and I was always attended with a smile. Maybe the position isn't any special, but in 10 minutes by bus you're downtown, so it was definitely ok for me. Plus I was given a card to travel by bus for free. To sum it up: I'd be glad to return any time!

I have been here with my family just for a night This is a low cost hotel with simple service. The rooms were simple but very clean. The position is out of Konstanz in the industrial area. The staff was very professional and friendly
