It was good that my request was delivered quickly! They're so kind and nice. They respond quickly, too. The room is spacious and the view is nice. I want to stay here again when I come to Bangkok next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT location. It's right in front of the BTS and you're within the area of all the huge Siam malls like Paragon and MBK. There is a 7/11 inside the hotel itself, so it's useful for late night snacking or emergencies. The staff is exceptional and makes you feel well taken care of. I especially loved the bartenders in Sky Terrace - very friendly to talk to. The rooms are adequate and is on the smaller side, but that's usual in Southeast Asia anyway. I do think the buffet breakfast can be improved. It's good but there weren't a lot of options and the breakfast meals leaned more on western style. Would love to see more Asian breakfast choices that aren't just rice porridge or soup.

We booked a superior room for 2+1 adults. 👍🏼 Clean beautiful room, space good even for 3 guests, wonderful shampoo, conditioner , bodywash, lotion. Closet, safe, iron, table, comfy beds/ beddings, lots of plugs and light/ switches. 👍🏼Reception was efficient, did not experience language barrier. 👍🏼 Coffee was very food. We did not get the breakfast buffet. Opens 7:00am , we would take it in the 9F coffee bar or at the roof top swimming deck. For the price of a buffet (around Baht 750), we had 2 cappucinos and shared a continental breakfast plate. 👍🏼Weighing scale at the bellman’s post 👍🏼 7-11 at the ground floor 👍🏼 McDonalds around 3- 5 minute walk 👍🏼 Price was good 👍🏼 Street food vendors right outside, you can get fruits, grilled meats & squid, etc. 😉Having to take 2 elevators : GF to 9F, then 9F to rooms. Elevators were fast, but would be inconvenient if carrying heavy loads/ luggage or dead tired from the day’s trip 😉Glass wall (see thru) of shower can be covered with a sliding panel from the bedroom side 😉Since we enjoyed shopping in Chatuchak and Platinum Mall, we would take a 20-40 minute cab ride to/fro. Around baht200 per way using Grab app. 😉Tuktoks right outside, just for the experience! ⭐️ Tip: Use Exit 1 on Grab app for pick up and drop off. Many drivers prefer to use the exit across (side of stadium), which requires passenger to cross the street thru an elevated bridge (stairs!) 👎🏼3rd bed was a stiff sofa bed. 👎🏼 Restaurants would be a 15 minute walk or so. 👎🏼 Dinner at 8th restaurant was disappointing. We had local specialties but they did not taste authentic.

We stayed 5 nights at Mercure Bangkok Siam. This was not our first time; as compared to previous stays we were clearly more disappointed and will probably not return again. TL;DR version: good location, but breakfast lacking, rooms look aged and tired, bathroom lighting not good enough, one front desk staff left a bad impression. We chose to come back because the location is great. We needed to do a lot around the Siam area so it was why we chose this location. Right off the station at National Stadium. Across the street is MBK where a 24/7 Donki is available. Walkable distance to Siam shopping district. There is a concierge/bell service at the first floor when we entered. Also a 7-11 inside the building. The check in desk is on the 9th floor. So you take the elevator from the ground floor to the 9th then walk all the way across the lobby to take another set of elevators to the floors of all the rooms. One trick we did was during the day we would use the elevators at ibis which is in the back pass 7-11, then get off at 8 (where the restaurant is) and the set of elevators to the Mercure rooms are just on the left. If you come back late though this might not be an option, think they lock the floor after the restaurant closes. Although only one person was working at night time when we checked in he was quick and efficient. As All Accor members we got drink vouchers. We did not redeem them because whenever we passed by the area where cocktails are served it did not look like someone was working. Although people were sitting around the lounge. Since the hotel has a policy where if you put up the Do Not Disturb sign 2 days in a row the housekeeping has to come in to make sure things are okay. I assume that is to ensure no one has passed away in the room? Sort of a wellness check? So the next day we went to the front desk to ask them to let the housekeeping staff know we don't mind housekeeping coming in but we do not want them to touch the beds at all. As we put down our own sheets etc. We prefer that they just leave the beds untouched. While talking to us that front desk person picked up a phone call and started to help the person on the phone. Mid sentence! She really could have picked up and told the person to hold on or let another staff assist with the phone call but no, she picked up the phone mid sentence talking to us! In the evening we came back, and OUR BEDS WERE MADE! So for the next two days we put up the Do Not Disturb sign and we went a second time to ask that our beds not be touched. On the fourth day; again, they were made. We literally gave up at that point because we were only staying one more night. The view we had was of Siam circle facing the city. We asked to have the stadium view but was told those are single bed rooms not for double bed. But I am glad we got the city view as in the morning we saw the sun rise in between the buildings. It was a great surprise. The bathroom was dark and if you open the sliding door that blocked the view from the room to the shower you can let the light from the room into the bathroom but it was not an option all the time as we needed privacy. It was difficult to use the mirror in the bathroom with such dark lighting. Wish it had some sort of lighted mirror in the bathroom. Television had good enough options. You have to go really high up in the numbers to get English channels. We thought there were none but eventually was able to find them. The breakfast options were disappointing. Last time staying here I remembered the breakfast being more appealing but somehow this missed the mark completely. Staff were friendly and efficient though.

The hotel location is very good centre of the city. Breakfast at the 8th restaurant is vefy nice, many of choices. All staff very friendly, especially, K Oil F&B supervisor. She always smile and welcome everyone and prompt to answer to all questions, she very helpful. Well done K Oil and the 8th restaurant.
