This is my second stay and I’m happy to say I will be coming back! I got what I paid for and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. Recently renovated, I would recommend, especially as for me, the location is unbeatable. The Christmas lights and castle at this time of year are beautiful.

Nice location: an easy walk to most tourist attractions. No parking on-site, but Q-Park Republique is a block away and the hotel has a drop-off zone right in front. The bathroom was a little dated and the room was small so not quite the 4-star hotel that is advertised. The climate control worked well and the wifi was good.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room had no view. Literally no view. A wall. I asked for a view of the Cathedral, the hotel is billed as being in Cathedral square. Absolute lie. All views at the front of the hotel would be obscured by ugly concrete monstrosity or modern art (if you can call it that) adorned to the building. Staff were rude. I had paid in advance, was asked to settle the bill again at check in. There is no car park even though it says they have one. It’s a public car park about three blocks away. Was all just vile. Absolutely vile experience start to finish. I must have stayed in more that 20 Mercure hotels, usually impressed tbh. This is a dump. Chartres itself is not much better

We only had one night at this hotel and it was great, Location was perfect for the Cathedrale and bars / Restaurants. Big room, great staff and finding the parking was OK. Only downfall was this new Accor initiative of only one welcome drink per room well we have decided not to spend any additional money at these hotels in protest for the little amount they are trying to save
