Excellent hotel great location very close to the Jean Mexican tram from the airport promenade de anglais 5 minutes walk close nice ville train station quirky hotel in a very old building all the rooms are different size and shape very courteous staff

Chose this hotel in preference to staying on Promenade des Anglais; it was a great choice. A huge 'Thank you very much' to Ophelia and Leonie for all their assistance and kindness during our stay; very much appreciated. The hotel location is great for just about everything! Train station, tram stop, restaurants, old town and Promenade des Anglais we all just a short walk away. The daily breakfast was very good, and the staff there were so very helpful and always smiling. Our room - a junior suite - was a great size (I think we got lucky as understand that not all rooms of the same type are necessarily the same size or shape) although simply furnished. I would very confidently recommend this hotel to others.

The Mercure is a chain hotel so doesn’t have a lot of atmosphere. Our room (standard double) was fine, perhaps a little on the small side. The bathroom was very small - the door caught on the toilet - and wasn’t heated so it was a bit chilly in the morning. The shower was over the bath and worked well but you had to be nimble to be get in and out of the as it was so cramped. The breakfast buffet was good and had a wide selection of cold and hot food. There was a bar but it was only open on two of the four nights we stayed there (and only sold wine and beer). All the staff were nice and friendly. Overall, good value for money in a central location.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in the center, but still in a quiet place. You can walk to the tram station and a bit further is the railway station. The old city is nearby and the sea is basically around the corner. The room is a bit outdated though and could use some "make-up", but it is so not important because you just sleep there. There is also a small fridge in the room and coffee/tea and the water cooker. Breakfast has enough options and always fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff cleans very well during breakfast and in general the staff is very attentive. I would totally recommend this hotel for someone who wants to come to Nice for some affordable and nice holiday.

The location of this hotel was great - close to the promenade / sea ; the old town , the station , and shopping areas . the hotel was clean , the staff friendly , the room adequate for what we needed including an unexpected small terrace . I wish I'd found the second pillow in the cupboard earlier and the bathroom was cold but overall good value for money and I'd visit again . We didn't do their buffet breakfast preferring local creameries etc . Close to tramline 2's Jean Medicin stop which comes direct from the airport
