Pleasant visit in December

We would have stayed longer however the hotel is closed on weekends during the winter season. So we had a mon-thurs visit a week before christmas. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly host who presented our baby with a Novotel teddy for Christmas which was lovely. Once checked in, we viewed our room which was clean and presentable it had a separate toliet to the bathroom which was good. It had a large screen TV and a memory foam bed...soo comfy. We had the buffet breakfast which had pastries, local breads and meats, pancakes, cereals etc. If you wanted an omlette, just ask a member of staff. We also had dinner there which they do meal deals or indivdual dishes - I had salmon salad and chips, and its a simular price if you ate out -21€ The staff spoke english and were pleased to help with our baby. Its located a 10 minute direct walk from the large supermarket (open till 8pm) and 10-15min direct walk from bayeux town. centre-limited parking in bayeux so best to walk.

This was a great hotel that met our needs to be close to the Normandy Beaches. Keep in mind that there are no restaurants really close by- it's at least several or more blocks to find restaurants. They do serve some meals at the hotel, but we were out of luck when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon.

A modern hotel that is easy to drive to and with plenty of parking. It is outside the main historic area but well within walking distance if you're in reasonable shape. It is very close to the war museum (check out the tanks out front!) and cemetery, an easy walk. Our room was very comfortable. The concierge Lorent deserves special mention because of his warm welcome and friendly detailed assistance with the sites and restaurants around the town.

We stayed in 2 rooms with breakfast included and were very happy with our stay. Parking in the hotel car park very simple as was check in - the staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and the bed is comfortable. Everywhere is clean and in good condition. The shower was good and the hairdryer was better than I was expecting. I would have liked some hooks for towels and an extra shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. The pool is heated and very pleasant. The grounds are nicely planted and well maintained. The buffet breakfast is very good- a great range of food items including regional specials. We had a few drinks in the bar area which was nice, but we didn’t have any evening meals in the restaurant but the menu looked pretty good. The hotel is walking distance to the town itself and some of the World War 2 memorials and museums out of town too. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our visit to Bayeux very much.

I wouldn’t risk staying here again.

RUN from this place. We paid for our room when we checked in. When we checked out they held us at the front desk and would not let us leave unless we paid for our two rooms for two nights a second time because they could not find their paperwork. We told them we were going to miss our train and the man behind the desk just kept repeating “I need to be paid”. We showed them our credit card app that we had already been charged and despite that the man behind the counter got aggressive telling us they lost our credit card information and that we could not leave. We had to pay again or risk missing our train, and we decided to take it up with the credit card company. They treated us like we were criminals because they couldn’t find our paperwork. Additionally, the staff was very hit or miss. Some are kind and engaging and some are rude, demanding and degrading. We had a great time interacting with the evening staff on Sunday but by Monday it was like a whole new staff and a whole new attitude and atmosphere. The hotel is clean, the rooms are small but fine for the purpose.

Hello sir, sorry about this disturb. I understand the situation. The receptionist was disturbed because he didnot find your file. He informed me. That's why he asked you to pay at check out. When he found back, with a clear head, he make the necessary to cancel the autorisation. So you didn't make double payment. It's disappointing that you keep this image. Your stay seemed good. Shame. Regards
