Lousy Breakfast Service!

Room was ok. However poor breakfast. Glass plate and bowl they are all dirty. Both days also dirty. The cook at the egg station always showing hwr black and sour face for both days too. Not sure what is wrong with her. Food quality also dropped.

Very comfortable stay

The hotel location is very central. It's a short walk to the new Times Square and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I love the big windows that provides a great view of the city or the sea. The beds are firm and comfortable. The breakfast spread is magnificent. There's a large selection of food. I loved the Sarawak laksa, and meat curries. Do note that it's RM68/person, if you did not include breakfast in your room booking. The executive lounge had wonderful views and the spread was good there too. Outside of breakfast and cocktail hour, there is no food, only drinks are available. Service was excellent and a highly of my stay. - Really appreciate the executive lounge staff for helping to bring food and drink to my aged parents. - Our service requests were attended to promptly (e.g. they sent maintenance to look at a bathroom leak almost immediately). - The cleaning staff smiled and greeted guests, and they were prompt with cleaning the rooms and replenishing water and toiletries. The gym has an improved layout, it's more spacious and easier to move around. However, the counter was unmanned, which made it tricky to get someone to turn on the jacuzzies. Do note the spa is currently closed. My family and I booked 4-5 rooms for a week to celebrate CNY and noticed a few areas which could be improved: 1. The aircon system is noisy, ranging from a humming sound to knocking as the thermostat disengages (this was in 2316). 2. Please replace the off-brand TV remotes. Most of them were hard to operate or the keys were stuck, and they kept increasing the volume or made it impossible to turn off the TV, as the TV would keep turning itself on. It drove me nuts before I figured out the problem and removed the batteries from the remote. 3. Our check in was delayed. We got one room at around 5pm, and we had to check in person a few times when recep said they would call. It was CNY and the hotel was fully-booked, and I can understand the difficulty but most hotels would offer to comp a couple of drinks for the delay. 4. I wanted to upgrade one of the deluxe rooms to access the executive lounge, but was told it was RM100/pax to access the lounge and another RM100 to upgrade the room. This is a lot more than booking the executive room in the first place. Maybe review how people can pay for upgrades more easily?

Bad experience

This is my worst trip. I booked via Accor app and intended it to be for three pax. But the app is dodgy and doesn't allow me to select three. So I selected two guest with club access. However upon arrival I was informed only two can access to the club, the third has to pay. I was also 'accused' of not booking for three pax. I showed the dodgy app to the staff and finally staff allows the third pax into the lounge, else we hv to pay more than 100rm for a crappy lounge . But this doesn't resolve my future issues. And this doesn't resolve the fact that only two can access to the breakfast at the ground floor lobby. This isn't my first time staying at pullman and isn't my first time at any hotel lounges. The staffs at le Méridien at sabah are much more flexible, allowing me to change room or modify request upon arrival. And when I booked with Méridien at kk, I was able to select three pax upon booking too. The lounge at Méridien is definitely far more superior than this pullman at miri. I don't understand why the staff at pullman doesn't allow me to modify the request of having the third pax.. Or having the third as part of the package deal that I am happy to pay instead of paying a ridiculous 100rm for a sub par lounge, sub par food.

Crap hotel

The service was crap we asked for 1 pillow and they said they had no more pillows ?! And then we told them that we booked the accomodation for three people then they came to our room with two pillows, where did they get the two pillows from🤨! Then the next day we went to the pools before I got into the pool we ordered some chips and some satay sticks. After 45 minutes the chips but they were cold😕 and then we wanted some tomato sauce that took 3 minutes by the time the sauce came we already finished the chips😕.Then after 50 minutes the satay came same thing they were cold too!😧

Wedding quotation

Room was good, no complains. However, before we decided to stay, we went there actually just to ask about wedding packages. Was told by guest relations that the person isn’t here so we were given a card. We thought of going back and staying so it will be easier for us to speak to the sales person. The day we checked-in, we asked again on wedding packages. Was told they will get someone to call us and was given another name card. End of the day, still no call whatsoever. Then on the day of check-out, finally someone enquire us on the wedding package. This was back in 29 November, Ms Zila says she will email us the quotation. After a week there was no email so I emailed her and been told that she missed out on my wedding quotation. I politely ask her to email us when it’s prepared. However another week has passed and still no email or message for the delay. Was already feeling dejected that it took us so many tries to get someone to see us and now we don’t have any quotations yet. We went to few other places and all gave us their quotations but we are still waiting for Pullman so we can finally make a decision.
