We love this location so decided to have some time out having a romantic weekend. Our Elms Wing room was out of the way and reasonably private which suited us perfectly. Our room was as expected but very dusty and seemed unclean. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and wasn't refilled whilst we were there. The major issue was a lack of staff especially at breakfast. The restaurant on both mornings of our stay was full but only two staff members were seen to handle a full restaurant. Breakfast staples were empty and not filled. The juices were empty and never re-filled whilst we were there. Even the salt and pepper shakers were empty and guests were searching tables to find some salt and pepper. The espresso coffee was being made by a staff member (not a barista) which left only one other staff member so the chaos continued. It took 45 minutes to receive a cold, substandard cup of coffee. Because the two staff members present, they were not friendly because they were under such pressure. Totally unacceptable!! Really Accor. Surely you can do better than this. This lovely hotel is now only a shadow of its former self and your brand is being tarnished. We will not stay here again

Need more staff, more training and more respect.

Quite nice but let down by staff shortages leading to two stress staff members being quite rude. 50 minute wait for coffee that never came on 17/3/24 unacceptable. Made worse by the lady on the machine telling us we had cancelled the order. Truth was so many people nhad left without coffee she had decided to cancel several pages of orders. Also encountered a rude lady who was refreshing rooms who ever got to either of our rooms.

Disappointing

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Peppers Craigieburn. For over $400 a night, we were positioned in a room of which the only window faced a brick wall, the dirty pillowcases from the guest before were on the floor and the room was small and musty. The bartender/barista was extremely rude on both occasions that we interacted with her - unfortunately it is very clear that you do not like your job… Breakfast was sparse, cold and the majority of the tables were not cleaned even though we’d gone at a quieter time. The grounds and building itself were beautiful, but feeling unwelcome in a hotel is not what you go on holidays for. We are not people who normally leave poor reviews, but we were very much looking forward to our stay and were very disappointed in our experience.

Relaxing stay, beautiful gardens and grounds.

We loved the size and amenities in our room with views to the golf course. Breakfast was plentiful and our dinner at the onsite restaurant was very good. The property, an historic house, has beautiful gardens and a 9 hole course which was always quite empty. Well decorated lounge areas with fireplaces. The rooms themselves could use a small bit of updating but they were charming and what we expected. All service staff were attentive.

I was led to believe that this was a premier hotel in the area, based on the price and Peppers reputation. Before arrival I got a rather gruff call from a night receptionist who seemed annoyed that we hadn't checked in yet. On arrival, I suspect the same person - basically threw the keys at me and offered relatively little welcome. The interiors smell musty and old, in our room there was an empty beer bottle in the closet, and two single beds clearly pushed together to make a 'king'. Not to mention the exhaust fan that sticks out of a window directly from the shower - which looked like it hadn't ever had someone wipe any kind of cloth over the exterior (accessible) areas and was fully covered in dust and grime. Clearly many areas of the room have not been painted or are ready for a repaint as there was quite a lot of chipping and/or stains all over the walls and ceiling. No one came to remake our room on saturday night - we must have missed the window early in the day. We didn't come to watch tv but would have been nice to have access to even my own streaming apps on tv when we were in the room due to a rainy afternoon. Lest I forget, the toilet runs for hours after flushing....
