Take care when booking and on the information required for the Credit Card Authorization Form When I made a booking (at a very good rate) I initially was not prompted to provide any credit card details. After the booking was made, I was requested to provide the following as part of the Credit Card Authorization Form 1) Completion of the Form 2) Copy of both the front and back of my credit card (which would have provided the security code) 3) An additional valid form of ID Clearly time-consuming, having to scan and send multiple documents but also unsafe in terms of the information provided. Also, they were not interested in taking my credit card details over the phone. Not a good experience and it could also provide information that no one should provide when e-mailing

We stayed a couple of nights in a beautifully appointed and furnished room. Light airy and fairytalesque! All mod cons (coffee machine and China tea service) and impeccably clean. Bed and pillows were comfy - not hard, not too soft. Bathroom and shower were sizeable and well equipped., including multi use beauty products. Staff were a little too [forced/ fake] lovely but professional and welcoming. There was a slight mix up on check in- free upgrade to the room we’d already booked and but entering the room it was made up with gifts/ treats for someone else’s honeymoon…. The location is the only downside to this Fable. The proximity to waterfront and Britomart is great, but the seedy side of Queens St on the doorstep detracts from the fairytale. Would recommend and would like to stay again.

This is the best hotel in Auckland!! The Concierge was wonderful and gave us not only great places to see, but very good restaurants based on our likes and dislikes! The breakfast was the best! The room was comfortable and clean! I will stay here again when I visit Auckland!

We loved our night at Fable! It’s not an exaggeration to say we received the best service we have ever experienced. The staff were so friendly and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful room and comfy bed, great location. Room service breakfast was outstanding.

Hotel on top of a night club is not a good idea.

Nice hotel and nice location. HOWEVER, it is above a nightclub that is VERY loud and makes noise until 3 or 4 am on Friday and Saturday night. I wouldn't stay there on a weekend. Even with the ear plugs (provided by the hotel), we were on the top floor, the 8th floor, and it was so loud that it woke us up repeatedly.
