***Please be careful before booking here, it looks more like a SCAM than a relaxed stay.*** We booked an expensive Suit room W/ Jacuzzi at this hotel to celebrate our 2023-2024. Well, this was the Worst Experience ever. Since we arrived, the Suite Room had issues with Leakage to the floor under our room. Room service kept coming to our room almost every 30min to an hour. They kept coming to check the same thing, nothing to see in our room. So with this the first day was already RUINED! We couldn’t relax because people kept coming to the door. Next day again same thing since the early morning room service and the hotel technician kept bothering us. As if we did something wrong but we didn’t, we couldn’t, we just arrived at the hotel Suite… Then they ask us to leave the room for at least 1 hour so they can ‘Try’ to fix the issue. We declined. Then randomly 30 minutes later our airconditioning stopped working, sweating in the SUITE room they couldn’t fix it. After all this, we decided to leave earlier then we wanted. We travel allot and visit different hotels in Europe. But this, for a very expensive SUITE room to have so many issues was crazy. Never had such a bad experience before at a hotel, especially a Suite room Hotel. We also we asked our money back, but only got a percentage back and as a compensation they gave us just 2 bottles of water… So yes, we had to pay for the first day, while they kept bothering us the whole time. Very very unprofessional of this hotel and staff. We had to pay for the night we couldn’t even relax because of faulty SUITE ROOM. Please be careful before booking here, it looked more like a SCAM than a relaxed stay.

Modern high rise. We had an excellent corner room on the ninth floor, spacious, well equipped with bathrobes and slippers, coffee corner, and excellent bedding. Wonderful reception by staff. Way better then Mercure’s in France. One flaw: the architect obviously completely forgot to isolate the steelbeams that support the facade, so sadly acoustics are bad. Nice bar on the second floor, we didn’t try the breakfast.

Returned here aftre 6 years and found it had not changed. Very friendly and efficient staff, clean room and ideal location. Would have given it 5 stars, but the restaurant was not open for dinner and the bar was not always open.

my husband and i have been in the Mercure hotel in Amersfoort on my wedding day. It was a great experience. staff at breakfast were very nice, they went out of their way to help us and make us happy. besides that we would have wanted room service and it was so creatively made it looked amazing and the food was delicious. they had left a sweet note so thanks amal and zeyneb!!.

I had a terrible experience in this hotel at the end of August. Someone(s) broke into my room for 2 consecutive days with my door confirmed locked. The hotel didn't treat me seriously, they couldn't provide any convincing explanation or compensation. I went there for a business trip and had booked this hotel for 10 nights. The break in incident happened in the early morning 5:30am after my first sleep. I heard someone tried to open my door, but because I had locked it, so the intruder shaked the handle a few times, and eventually it did open!!! I went down and reported to the reception directly and asked if there was any CCTV. The staff said she didn't know...had to wait for her colleague to come back to answer me in the evening....by then i was told that there was no CCTV in this hotel...and they admitted it was one of their staff who broke into my room!!! I requested an explanation, the front desk only said it would not happen again. I requested to meet the duty manager, she said the manager would talk to me tomorrow....this is how they treated this security issue and code of conduct "seriously". Totally unacceptable. I could only go back to my room for the 2nd night. But then at 7:15am in the next morning, there was someone broke into my room again!! With a loud door closing sound, which i even more confirmed then the first time. The intruder went out as well before showing his/her face. It was unbelievable!!! I reported to the front desk again but they seemed not believe in me. Said it was not their staff this time and it was impossible to unlock the door with other cards. Long story short, it took me a whole day again in order to talk to the duty manager. And i personally showed her how to unlock my door using her card. She was finally speechless and arranged a new room for me. She said would investigate But I still could not receive a solid explanation in the next day and really felt unsafe. I was not able to sleep well and was super alert to different sounds. The next day the GM finally met me, but then still no compensation or with any gesture of apology. Didn't feel i was treated seriously so I decided to change the hotel for personal safety. They still charged me the fee for the 3 days. This was my worst hotel experience ever.
