Stayed here for 1 night whilst attending a gig at the Hydro. Location is great for this! Short walk away. Places to eat nearby too. Free parking which is good for Glasgow, although the signs are confusing as it states ‘no overnight parking’. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was aware that this was a budget hotel when I booked it but being budget shouldn’t mean being unclean. The floor, although it was hoovered was dirty and sticky. Not nice. Bed sheets etc were clean and bed was comfy, shower was also good. The free tea and coffee facilities downstairs sounds good in principle but there were no clean cups/glasses. With 3 members of staff behind reception, this shouldn’t be the case. I paid nearly £100 for the room, definitely not worth that! I would prob stay again if I got a rate of £60 and under.

Great location for restaurants and the ovo hydro. Comfy beds and nice hot shower. Unfortunately it is more like a hostel. It is a budget hotel but we paid nearly £100 for the night. I’m afraid it is not worth that and being budget shouldn’t mean that it lacks cleanliness. Stains on dirty floor. No clean cups at reception for tea and coffee. Staff all nice and friendly but would only stay here again if we could get it at a ‘budget price’.

We stayed in a triple room double bed and bunk bed. The reception staff were very friendly on arrival and there 24/7 which is good. Has lift access and the card access to get to rooms so only guests can get to rooms. The room was small but suitable for what we needed. It was clean good temperature. Lights a little confusing to work out but got there. TV has good channels on. Shower was nice and warm good pressure. Need to be good friends with people you stay with as little privacy but suitable for us. The top bunk didn't get made when house keeping came in and didn't get a fresh towel had to go to reception to get a clean towel. The ladder is steep to bunk bed and metal so slippy not suitable for children as could fall. Would be nice to had tea coffee in room. Great location been a 5 min walk from shields Road subway you can get around Glasgow easy. Will definitely be staying again if I need to stay in Glasgow.

The hotel is perfectly placed for the Ovo Arena. Free parking is a bonus in multi storey which has night time security. Simply park, make your way to the lift, press 6 for reception and enter reg in the machine at reception desk. The hotel is a budget hotel but it is functional and ideal for a short visit to Glasgow. Its 15 minute walk to Ovo Arena and 20 minutes into city centre. Rooms are small but clean. Take a few spare clothes hangers as there are only 4 in the room with no set of drawers to out things in. I took a travel kettle which saved getting coffee from reception. Bed was comfortable. The shower. was powerful and hot. The room had a air conditioning unit/ heater which heated the room well. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Only down side was the lift. It had a life of its own!! We were on the 8th floor and everytime we got in it it would take us up and down and hardly ever to the correct floor. On some occasions we got out at floor 6 on reception and took the stairs to floor 8. For a visit to the Ovo the Ibis is ideal but you have to be prepared to walk.

Ibis takes "budget" to its penny-pinching extremes!

No kettle; no hair drier; limited space to hang anything; the cheapest, thinnest toilet paper. It's bad enough not having a kettle and basic tea/coffee provided in the room, but the communal facilities for coffee making do not even include a decent coffee making machine, just a tub of the cheapest instant coffee granules and hot water. Horrible. Our room on the eighth floor suffered from a constant drowning noise throughout the night so we didn't sleep well. We don't know if it was the lift or the air conditioning, but it was unpleasant. Not impressed.

We do offer instant coffee for free and machine coffee for £2, this is an optional upgrade. We are budget as you advised and when you pay budget prices, you receive budget accommodation - this is what we are and we don't hide this. We have 3 ply toilet paper so I am unsure how much more we could improve on this and we also offer hair dryers from reception 24/7.
