good for an overnight stay

We stayed one night after a late ferry crossing. Close to the port so it was very convenient as only a short drive. Clean and comfortable, just what we needed and a fair price. We had a nice beer on arrival. The breakfast buffet was fine but similar to another review the scrambled eggs ran out early!

Convenient and clean, maybe some customer service training needed?

We stayed at this hotel on our way up to and back from Holland, staying one night on both occasions. We paid for breakfast. Rooms were excellent, however the 'service' at breakfast left much to be desired! Breakfast was served up until 10a.m. so us arriving at 9.a.m. seemed perfectly reasonable. Many items seemed to have run out and when I asked for some more scrambled eggs the gentleman serving (I think he was also running the reception at the same time) reluctantly got a 'tupperware' container with half-cooked egg and 'plopped' the cold contents into the serving container. When we asked if he could warm up the egg he microwaved it making it obvious he wasn't happy! When we needed some salt and pepper (there was none on the tables) it seemed all too much of an effort for him. A bit of training required maybe? If I pay for a breakfast I expect to get a reasonable selection, similar to what the 'early birds' probably got, and I don't expect to be afraid to ask for something! Maybe he was just having a bad day!

Convenute hotel near Eurotunnel

Very convenient hotel, near the Eurotunell, we went there 1 night after arriving in France quite late. Check in was very good and the receptionist was very professional and kind. The room was a decent size and both the bathroom and the room were clean. Easy check-in and check out. Large free parking available.

No frills hotel, but clean, functional, warm and great base for a stop over. All you need in the room. An extra plug socket would have been helpful. Friendly staff. Lovely self-service breakfast with a huge variety of continental goodies to choose from. Very good value. Will definitely return. Thank you.

A Little Gem In Calais

We originally thought from other reviews it was gated but it only had a fence no gate, however felt safe where we parked and the rest was excellent. The staff were really nice and polite and couldn’t do enough for us the food was excellent and the breakfast was to die for, beautiful Madeline’s, croissants like air and a huge collection of dried fruit, cereal and fresh meats. The room is small but functional, the bathroom was nice and spacious and the bed and pillows very comfy. All this for €59. What an absolute bargain. Thank you Ibis let’s hope the next one at Mulhouse is just as good
