Great hotel but poor breakfast!

The hotel is in a prime location with amazing style and decor. Reception and concierge team really great and above and beyond. However breakfast was not great. When we arrive there was still 1 hour to go however the buffet looked sad and half empty! We then get told the rules of the menu and that espresso coffee is an extra charge! Not the best welcome being told no no no! Plus other 5 star hotels in Auckland do not charge extra or put in ridiculous rules so your already behind them. The chef looked angry to be making our food and when in a position that you can be seen it's not a good look! Average quality food and not even tea and coffee served to the table all just basic stuff they are just not getting right! I stay in 5 star hotels all over the world regularly and this hotel is fab in many ways but they need to sharpen themselves in the restaurant which leaves a bad taste in your mouth!
