Grovean Couples - TripAdvisor review

Unique boutique hotel located within walking distance of many sites in Amsterdam. Excellent customer service with very good breakfast (even for plant-based eaters). Super staff at check-in and excellent bartenders. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed at INK Hotel recently as a part of our European vacation. The hotel is centrally located and made walking to most of the sites/restaurants very easy. The hotel staff was friendly and they had a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel room is small but that is ok. We were mostly out of the room exploring. However we found the bathroom/shower situation weird. My husband I had an "open" bathroom which meant the vanity was in the room and there were not doors separating the shower/toilet area from the room and the doors that were on the toilet/shower were just glass. So you kinda felt like you were on show in both areas. We requested a "closed" bathroom for our teenager children which really was not much better. The closed bathroom had everything contained... behind an opaque glass door. So there was more privacy but not much. We also found in April the rooms could be a bit warm to sleep and the bed/pillows pretty hard. The hotel staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be but compared to 2 other hotels we had just stayed in on our vacation they seemed the least knowledgeable. The restaurant closed very early on Sunday and we felt the bar closed a bit early in general but we found a lot of places in Amsterdam seemed to close pretty early so maybe it is a regional thing. We were generally satisfied with our stay at INK but I might look around elsewhere if I were to travel to Amsterdam again.
