Florence + the Machine in London, 21 to 25 September
The lights of London below catch your eye as you head to Alexandra Palace. You're visiting a venue that hosted legendary bands in the 60s, like Pink Floyd or The Velvet Underground.But tonight, it's the electro-pop sounds of Florence + the Machine that will have you up and dancing under the stunning glass roof. Following a long world tour, Florence Welch is set to perform tracks from her third album - the perfect excuse to visit London.
Jazz à la Villette Festival, Paris, 3 to 13 September
At La Villette, swap pop for brassy energy and crazy bass solos. Amsterdam Dance Event, 14 to 18 October
From jazz to electro, there's nothing a number of select DJs can't do! See for yourself during your stay in Amsterdam. Just imagine: you come out of Amsterdam Arena, where you've just seen Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta perform, and you walk along the canals towards the city centre.Direction: one of the many small clubs joining the Amsterdam Dance Event. Beirut in New York, 1 October
American band Beirut are set to play New York as part of their world tour. Rock in Rio, 18 to 27 September
Rock is heading to the southern hemisphere once again this season and you're invited! Just imagine.
