All year long

An emblem of Vienna and the Prater.

Opened to mark the Jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph 1 (1897) by the British engineer Walter Basset, Vienna's Giant Ferris Wheel,, rose from the ashes the year after it was burned in 1944.
From the top of Vienna's Giant Ferris Wheel (64.75 metres in height and 60.96 metres in diameter) Vienna's Giant Ferris Wheel gives you the best views of the city and the Danube. At the entrance, eight dioramas take you and your family through the different eras that have forged the renown of the Austrian capital.
