Events and festivals

From Friday, August 24 2018 to Monday, October 29 2018

One of the most important innovators in photography.

The photographer Moriz Nähr made a lasting impression on photography in the 20th century. A lifelong friend of the Parisian artist Gustav Klimt, Nähr used his art to cement their friendship with a series of portraits that perfectly reflects the connection between the two men. Klimt was also inspired by Nähr and in particular his photographic motifs as can be seen in his pictures. With a collection of carefully selected photographs, the exhibition attempts to reflect the strong bond between the two men throughout their lives as well as Nähr's universe in Vienna in the 1900s.
