Sheltered since 1793 in the Augustin convent, its gives visitors the privilege to walk through one of the most beautiful monastic sites of the 14th and 15th century.
With a unique collection of Romanesque sculptures, the statue museum also shelters Southern Gothic Masterpieces, as well as Toulouse works of the Renaissance and classics by Bachelier, Arcis Lucas Maillol, Rodin and Camille Claudel.
Painting holds pride of place here, with a beautiful collection: Perugino, Guido Reni, Guercino, Crespi and Guardi.
French painting of the 17th to the 19th centuries is well represented with Champaigne, Moillon, Largillière, Vigié-Lebrun, Ingres, Delacroix, Corot and Courbet, to which are added works from the dawn of Modern Art: Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec Vuillard and Manguin. A selection which represents the "Golden Age" of painting in Toulouse completes the collection, with Chalette, Tournier, Jean-Pierre and Antoine Rivalz, Jean and François de Troy, Roques, Jean-Paul Laurent and Henri Martin.
