Clarke Quay is one of the most emblematic of the quays in Singapore, situated on the mouth of the Singapore river. Originally it was one of the city's nerve centres, during British colonial days. Today, the quay is a vibrant place that comes alive at night, its many bars, clubs and restaurants attracting a fun-loving crowd. There are even clubs housed in restored antique boats. This is also the point of departure for the boat trips around the bay.
