All year long
The Immigrant Memorial was opened in April 1998, succeeding the Museum of Immigration, founded in 1993, which it logically absorbed.
This institution is responsible for preserving, studying and teaching the history of immigration and the memory of immigrants in the State of São Paulo. The institution is housed in part of the former hostel which served as a refuge for immigrants, built between 1886 and 1888, and which remains one of the few hundred-year-old buildings still standing in São Paulo.
