A fashionable neighborhood in paris

The Marais, a gay neighbourhood in Paris with the streets of Francs-Bourgeois and Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie in particular, is one of the prettiest and liveliest areas in Paris.
The gourmet restaurants get very busy around Saint Paul and rue des Rosiers.

The area has many hotels clustered around the rue des Archives and rue des Francs Bourgeois: cloître des Billettes, hôtel de Soubise(National Archives), the house of "Jacques Cœur," the former convent of the Fathers of Mercy, the Clisson hotel, the Guénégaud hotel (museum of Hunting and Nature), the hotel Sully hotel Carnavalet (Carnavalet museum).

Historically, the former place Royale, a Mecca for the French aristocracy, became the place des Vosges, an arts and shopping centre, with its art galleries and shops in the arcades surrounding a pretty square where you can take a stroll on the grass.
