In 1922, Howard Carter brought to light what is still today the greatest Egyptian treasure in archaeological history: the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Conserved in the Cairo Museum, the pharoah's treasure rarely leaves home. In fact its last visit to French territory dates back to 1967! More than a million visitors flocked to the Petit Palais to marvel at Tutankhamun's splendid funeral mask made from solid gold.
To celebrate 100 years of this discovery, the pharoah sets off on a world tour with an exceptional stop at the Grande Halle de la Villette. It's undeniably the biggest cultural event of 2019.
