Events and festivals

From Saturday, July 6 2019 to Sunday, July 28 2019

One of the world’s largest cycling races.

On the 1st of July 1903, Géo Lefèvre and Henri Desgrange, journalist and director of L’Auto, came up with the idea: the first Tour de France set off from Montgeron.

An event dear to the French, the summer’s major, unmissable event, a tour around France, as well as in Europe, a challenge that some cyclists sometimes fail to overcome, the Tour de France is back on the road for a new edition.

Each year the Tour de France is the perfect opportunity, in the cities crossed, for a large public celebration. After three weeks of tough, fierce competition, the traditional arrival of the Tour de France on the Champs-Elysées in Paris is the highlight of the competition.
