Musical warmth!

In the heart of the Caribbean Sea, an island became the symbol of a unique blossoming music! The Cité de la musique - Paris philharmonic society gives you the chance to go on a musical journey to Jamaica.
The birthplace of reggae in the second half of the 20thth century, Jamaica is too often only associated with the emblematic figure of this movement: the legendary Bob Marley. Yet, Jamaican musical culture is a lot wider and, above all, as old as it is diverse.
Discover the daring inventions born out of the neighbourhoods of Kingston, which are the basis of all the current music, interpreted through the lens of post-colonial conflicts.
