Concluding the road cycling season in style.

Created in 1905, the Lombardy Tour is one of the most popular classics of the international cycling calendar. Dubbed the Autumn Leaves Classic, because it usually takes place in autumn, the race, which is part of the UCI World Tour, boasts many great champions: Alfredo Binda, Gino Bartali, Fausto Coppi, Eddy Merckx Laurent Jalabert (the last Frenchman to win the race) or, more recently, Michele Bartoli, Paolo Bettini and Philippe Gilbert.

Up to 2011, the Lombardy Tour closed the road cycling season. From 2012, the trial will be put forward by two weeks and will take place only a week after the world championships.
