Events and festivals

From Saturday, July 7 2018 to Saturday, August 4 2018

Two great artists shown together in a major exhibition.

Two of the most important artists of their time, José Goya Lucientes (1746-1828) and William Hogarth (1647-1764) come together in this exhibition featuring a hundred works, from the collections of the University of Manchester and the Manchester Art Gallery. It makes sense, they covered the same topics: violence, cruelty, poverty - all these social injustices were highlighted by the artists. These powerful images help us to understand a time not so different from our own.

From Saturday 7 July to Saturday 4 August 2018 :
- From Friday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 17:00
- Thursday from 10:00 to 21:00
