If there's one thing you must not miss when visiting Madrid, it has to be the Sunday market that takes places along the picturesque streets of the Lavapiés and La Latina districts.
While Calle de Ribera de Curtidores is filled with new products (t-shirts, socks, souvenirs...) the adjacent streets are brimming with second-hand dealers and stalls selling unusual items.
Around all this hustle and bustle of the market, experience the flavours of Spanish life with a lunch of tapas, such as sardines or calamari in one of the many bars which are open on Sundays.
