From Tuesday, June 20 2017 to Sunday, September 24 2017

Great masters for the summer season.

The Thyssen Museum of Madrid will present an exhibition on Venetian painting from the 16th century, with masterpieces by artists such as Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and Lotto, from large collections and museums around the world.

The themes evoked are the importance of colour, the observation of real life through the image of power and beauty and the destruction of the brush stroke in the late works of this period.

They are illustrated by portraits, pastoral works, mythological themes and religious compositions revealing the evolution of Venetian painting, created in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
