All year long
An ancient amphitheatre and Odeon make up the archaeological site of Fourvière and reflect the long history of Lyon. Explore the remains of the theatre which was built at the end of the first century BC and the Odeon which dates from the third century. Both buildings could accommodate up to 13,000 spectators in total.
Recovered and restored in the early 20th century, these once buried and forgotten places have experienced a renaissance and now play host to the Fourvière Nights Festival.
