From Friday, September 29 2017 to Sunday, December 16 2018
The exhibition La vie mode d’emploi [Life A User's Manual] unravels the complex history of human movements during the twentieth century to trace the morphological evolution of the urban habitat and the ways that new residents inhabit city housing.
Large cities undergo constant reshaping. Their population comes in part from successive migratory flows and a rural exodus. The home, whether individual or shared, both determines and prescribes daily routines. As for the inhabitants, according to the paths their lives take, they do up their homes, modify them, circumvent the rules or initial intentions of the architects and invent a new way of co-existing.
