Queer Art takes centre stage

It’s an exhibition on a rarely explored theme that’s in store for you at Tate Britain.
To mark this exhibition, a selection of works created between 1867 and 1967 addressing the issue of lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and gay identity take centre stage. It’s being organised as part of the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of male homosexuality in England.
An examination of the artistic reflections of an era when modern LGBT terminology did not yet exist. The diversity of this "queer" art is revealed through the works of artists such as John Singer Sargent, Dora Carrington, Duncan Grant and David Hockney.
