A look at the past.

Baroque greatly influenced the work of Ana Hatherly. Yet although this exhibition focuses on this element, it also - and above all - explores the way in which the work of the Portuguese artist has highlighted this historical period and been able to alter our understanding of the past.
The exhibition therefore compares items, art work and documents from the different historical periods that Ana Hatherly has analysed or mentioned in her essays. From this, a complete journey into the heart of the different categories of Baroque was organised. You will therefore find the themes of the world such as Labyrinth; the importance of the Playful and even the oblique Dialogue between painting and poetry.
