All year long

Buddha looks over you.

Perched on a mountain (be prepared for the climb - 268 steps), Tian Tian Buddha is seated on a huge lotus. Since it was inaugurated in 1993,Big Buddha, as it also called, has become one of the most popular monuments Hong Kong.

This huge bronze statue (over thirty metres tall), is a perfect example of the combination of traditional and modern techniques of construction. It serves as a symbol of harmony between men and nature, between people and religion.

Located next to the Po Lin Monastery, an important Buddhist temple, Big Buddha, with his right hand raised, blesses the thousands of visitors who come from all over Asia.
